Our Track Record

The Wyoming Business Council: The need for the Council’s formation began at our Outlook ‘96 forum. We orchestrated the seed money, matched by the Legislature, for the Business Plan for Wyoming. We then led the extensive lobbying and communications effort for this landmark 1998 legislative initiative.

Cheyenne’s Progress and Prosperity: This campaign, which raised the funds for an expanded business park, a Laramie Community College workforce-training program and a Chamber of Commerce quality of life initiative also traces its roots to the Wyoming Heritage Foundation’s Outlook ‘96 forum.

Education Reform: On the cutting edge, our 1996 forum addressed "Education: Challenges Today, Opportunities Tomorrow". The nationally recognized conference resulted in a position paper titled "Statement of Principles on Education".

Kern River: The Heritage led by 1988-90 lobbying and public relations effort, resulting in California’s decision to support the 904-mile Kern River natural gas pipeline project. The $1 billion pipeline has generated over 450 permanent jobs in Wyoming and over $27 million in new state and local tax revenues each year.

Social Issues: Never afraid to take on tough issues, Heritage’s "Social Problems: The Costs, Causes and Cures" forum in 1998 addressed drug and alcohol problems in Wyoming . . . providing specific solutions for citizens and businesses to get involved. This led to passage by the 2002 legislature of Wyoming’s Substance Abuse initiative.

Wyoming Energy Commission: The Wyoming Business Alliance wrote this landmark legislation, which overwhelmingly passed the Wyoming legislature in 2001. Wyoming should not only be the "BTU Capital of the Western Hemisphere", we also should be the "BTU Value Added Capital" as well.
