2008 Economic Outlook Forum
National / State Perspectives and
State Budget Realities
May 6, 2008
11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Best Western Ramkota, Casper
This year’s forum marks our 9th Economic Outlook forum. The first outlook forum took place in
1996, and it served as the catalyst for the creation for the Wyoming Business Council.
Wyoming’s economy is strong today, but looking to the future it’s obvious that our reliance on
minerals is much greater today than five years ago. The importance of diversifying the economy
remains, in our opinion, an important Wyoming priority.
The guest speaker at this year’s forum is Ken Goldstein, the lead economist for the Conference
Board. The Conference Board is an international organization best known for its Consumer
Confidence Index and Leading Economic Indicators publications. The Business Alliance is
pleased to have Ken who will be the Conference Board’s first ever participant in a Wyoming
economic forum.
Please note the conference is a half day event with a luncheon program beginning at 11:30 a.m.
The forum ends at 4:00 p.m
.
